Beautiful Creatures.

Film: Beautiful Creatures.
Director: Richard LaGravenese.

I was really uncertain about seeing this film, as the first trailer I saw looked a little..dull. But when I saw the extended trailer it looked so awesome!

It was a really good film and I definitely enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to reading the book, actually!

The casting of Lena was..different. Englert made me think of if you took Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart and mashed them together you would get Alice Englert. I liked her as Lena..I liked her more when she got a bit bitchy! But the snappy sarcasticness made me smile.

My favourite part of the film was when Lena and Ridley were pitching a fit at each other and set the dinner table a-spinning.

Overall, I'd give Beautiful Creatures: 9/10.

I'll for sure be seeing it again!

Ice Princess.

Film: Ice Princess.
Director: Tim Fywell.

I remember seeing the trailer for this yeaaaaars back...okay in '05..and thinking I wanted to see it. It's that typical story, nerd kicks adversity in the ass and becomes cool and a winner.

I really enjoyed the entire story and how Casey and Gen end up friends despite Gen being all bitchy in the beginning. I loved the way the other skaters rallied around Casey and encouraged her to continue skating because she had raw talent and even though she could potentially beat all of them with far less practice than they had had they still helped her out. It really made me smile! It was nice to have the other skaters being so welcoming and helping her out whenever they could even when the Coach was being deliberately difficult and sabotaging her chances.

My favourite scene was when we see Casey performing half heartedly until she sees her mum up in the stands and ends up deviating from the set performance and coming second and her mother totally accepting that this is her daughter and this is what she loves.

Awh, man. I love this movie.

Overall, I'd give Ice Princess 9.5/10.

I love it. I just wish we'd seen more of Casey and Teddy!

Wreck-It Ralph.

Film: Wreck-It Ralph.
Director: Rich Moore.

I thought this film was going to be all laughs and giggles but I absolutely loved the more serious side to it.

The relationship between Ralph and Vanellope is brilliant and I loved seeing how it progressed and then had it's ups and downs and the part with the Cybugs and the glitch was sad but awesome at the same time!

My favourite part was at the end when Ralph was back in his game and the people held him up and he could see Sugar Rush and could see Vanellope winning her race.

It's definitely a feel good movie and I can't wait to buy it on DVD!

On a side note, the Despicable Me 2 trailer made me laugh hysterically and I cannot wait to see it when it comes out!

Overall, I'd give Wreck-It Ralph: 10/10.

Fantastic for all ages and I will be seeing it again!

Resident Evil: Retribution.

Film: Resident Evil: Retribution.
Director: Paul W.S. Anderson.

I saw this in the cinema in 3D when it came out and I was very excited to buy it on DVD and I'm not in the least bit ashamed to say that I watched it while wearing my brand new Umbrella Corp hoody courtesy of my wonderful boyfriend!

The first 4 minutes of this film is utterly awesome, it is my favourite scene without a doubt. It was done so cleverly and I love the fact we see it again, a little later on as well! The entire scene is a fantastic battle scene which continues on directly from Resident Evil: Afterlife..except it's backwards. The whole scene is played backwards in the first four minutes and then, a short while later it is played forwards. Totally awesome!

I love the relationship between Alice and Becky, it's nice to see Alice acting more human and I love the sign language! The reappearances of characters from previous movies which I enjoyed and didn't expect.

The ending shocked me a little bit, I wasn't expecing it to be so...industrial. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Overall, I'd give Resident Evil: Retribution: 10/10.

I love this franchise so much, definitely my favourite franchise!

Les Misérables

Film: Les Misérables.
Director: Tom Hooper.

Oh dear Lord, I loved it. Absolutely, 100% loved it!

Anne Hathaway was utterly astounding as Fantine and her singing "I Dreamed A Dream" definitely bought a tear to my eye!

The story line was fantastic, I loved the relationship between Jean Valjean and Javert and the way it ended was beautiful. It was awesome the way he popped up time and time again crossing paths with Hugh Jackman and continually chasing him down until his last.

Little Cosette had a stunning voice and her Castle Song was beautiful. I think Amanda Seyfried was a fantastic choice for adult Cosette. The paleness of her skin and her bright blonde hair really contrasted against the dirty brownish coloured skin of everyone else.

My favourite scene was when the French Revolutionists climbed on the coffin and sung. Or, the I Dreamed A Dream scene.

Overall, I'd give Les Misérables: 10/10.

Fantastic, I love it, I can't wait to get it on DVD and I will definitely be looking to see it in the Theatre. If you haven't seen it, you so should.
